The deceiver rehearses the lines, not the moves. When the body becomes incongruent with the mouth, the actions speak truer than the words.

High-risk lying can produce adrenaline, and for some this creates itching especially around the face. Increased scratching is a tell.

The eyes have it, but not entirely. Truth detection needs more than movement, squinting, or blink rates. Think vocal speed, pitch, and tone.

Look for the lack of contraction. Those intent on being believed emphasize "did not" instead of "didn't," "cannot" instead of "can't."
